Women working with Ehsaas International Awarded on 112th International Women’s Day
On Women’s Day, Government Degree College, Anantnag in collaboration with KRV Foundation, Delhi organized an award ceremony for appreciation in recognition to women for their efforts in standing against the challenges in life and being role models in the community.
The ceremony was honored by DC Anantnag Anushal Garg and Additional Secretary Higher Education Sanjeev Raina as Chief Guests. Dr. Rafia Khaki, Secretary District Legal Services, Baldev Singh Raina, Chairman Peaks Automobiles, Dr. Shehzad Asim, Research Scientist and Dr. Rizwana Sanam, Chairperson KRV Foundation also graced the occasion by their presence.
The event centered around the ideas of women empowerment and how they play an important role in building up a nation acknowledging the fact that on this Day, we must recognise the responsibilities shared by the women folk all around. The guests also shared their views about the status women hold and issues and challenges they face in the name of gender discrimination, bias or stereotypes and how we can address them collectively for the betterment of the society.
The event concluded by felicitating women who have excelled in different fields and how their contributions have created a big difference in the welfare of the society at large. Many of the female Coordinators and volunteers of Ehsaas Trust International namely Snowber Firdous, Bilquees Afzal, Fazeelat Hussain, Aroosa Gazi, Urooj Zahra, Mehvish Bhat, Ifrah Bhat and Sadaf Firdous were also accoladed with appreciation mementos during the ceremony for their worthy efforts.
