Remembering the legacy of Dr. Kalbe Sadiq-an epitome of Wisdom, penance, simplicity and authenticity. A tribute by Ehsaas International
In pursuance of its vision and guiding principles, Ehsaas International organized a Seminar and painting competition on 24th Nov 2021 at Tagore Hall, Srinagar to commemorate the first death anniversary of Dr. Kalbe Sadiq who happens to be an illuminating figure for the institution. Dr. Kalbe Sadiq had a path breaking vision for education apart from being a religious and social reformer. He always believed in changing social realities through the development and application of knowledge, people centricity, and creation of a just society that can promote human welfare. The mission of Hakim e Umat composes well with the activities of Ehsaas in terms of its educational movement in the community while removing the darkness of ignorance and knowledge deficits. Ehsaas International, by its philosophy follows the same path and works towards making education as a tool for a comprehensive training for life.
The chief guest for the event was G.R. Sofi former Chief Information Commissioner. The event would have been incomplete without the display of aesthetics and art as they form an important part of Education. Therefore, Ehsaas organized a painting competition (in a hybrid mode-online for outside the valley artists and offline for the valley artists) which witnessed participations from across the world. The participation was seen from Asia, different parts of India apart from the regional/local artists. They received appreciation and moral boosting by one of finest artists of our country, Mr Arshad Sauleh who was the esteemed judge and the special guest for the event show.
Apart from this, we also had few performances. The Chairman of Ehsaas International, Syed Tabasum Geelani gave a vote of thanks and highlighted the work of Ehsaas International in the field of education even amidst a Crude pandemic. He brought into light the Community Excellence programmes for coaching around 3000 students in the far flung areas of Kashmir, sponsoring around 800 students in the field of higher education across the country, training programmes for various national level exams of engineering and medical Sciences. In addition to these remarkable contributions, the Chairman announced the helicopter targeted vision of providing 11th 12th, NEET-JEE coaching to around 1000 students across the valley.
Everyone present showed heavy interest in the learning about the meticulous contributions of Dr Kalbe Sadiq and work activities of Ehsaas International. Ehsaas International endeavors to do more for strengthening the institution of value system, divinity, social building and infinite potentialities of rewarding great human souls.
