Ehsaas International kick started Teachers Training for its Winter Coaching Centres
International kick started Online Teacher Training Session to enhance the teaching skills of the personnel involved and enhance innovative pedagogical methods for effective and efficient working of our Winter Coaching Centre Programme 2020-2021. The program will be on weekly based with support of diverse experts local and national level. Due to Covid pandemic most of the session will be held online.
Today Mr. Khadim Hussain, an eminent Teacher Trainer and National Award Winner took the session discussing various academic modules that would be beneficial in delivering quality classes among the students.
Ehsaas International since last few years has initiated free Coaching Classes for the underprivileged student community of economically backward sections of Kashmir Valley as an attempt to impart quality base level education among the children. With 25 Centres functional in four districts Bandipora, Budgam, Baramulla and Srinagar with 80 teachers catering to more than 2000 students, Winter Coaching Centre Programme has been designed to generate employment opportunities for local youth and overall growth and development of the society.
Post floods 2014, Ehsaas Trust International after proper survey identified certain villages in four Districts namely Baramulla, Budgam, Srinagar and Bandipora which needed attention establishing Coaching Centers at these Villages with emphasis on working for base level of Children particularly from Nursery to 10th Standard. Local Auqaf properties and Government School Buildings were used for the purpose. Besides, logistical support in the form of matting, white boards, markers, stationery and minimum honorarium for the teachers have been provided. Most of these centers were run by Local Volunteers of the concerned areas who worked for the development of their villages. Volunteers taught students during their free time, after finishing their daily chores with the zeal to contribute to the society. Winter season in Kashmir region with schools remaining closed for a period of three months provided ample time for the purpose.
