United Nations Global Compact Network India showcased Artisans of Ehsaas International in its Annual Calender 2023 launched by Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon’ble Union Minister, Road Transport & Highways.
United Nations Global Compact Network India & Citizen Foundation India launched the calendar “Goalkeepers” with the theme: “India @100” showcasing the entrepreneurs across the nations who are relentlessly promoting age old indigenous products, craft and art of their native states, representing the culture, heritage and diversity of India. Through their initiatives they are also promoting the local farmers and artisans by empowering them towards economic strengthening, sustainability and independent life who will ultimately contribute towards the vision of India@100. Amongst the cases being showcased, one such was from Kashmir as well. The case of Showkat Mir, an artisan & entrepreneur (Ehsaas International) was given a special place.
Ehsaas International along with ZFI runs shop@ehsaasinternational.com , an online platform that brings together number of small & authentic weavers together selling authentic pashmina on the e commerce platform.
The calender was launched by various dignitaries including Shri Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister Road & Transport.
Dr Bhasker Chatterjee, Rtd IAS officer, widely known as the father of CSR in India, appreciated the work of Ehsaas international and was fascinated to see the authentic platform bringing together all the small weavers & budding entrepreneurs.
