FREE MEALS INITIATIVE
(A collaborative effort of Dard Welfare Society, Ehsaas International & ATHWAS UK)
Free meals initiative is a noble program to provide hot meals to attendants at various hospitals of Srinagar that are visited by patients from far flung areas and find out difficult to get meals outside as all eateries are closed due to covid lockdown.
Volunteers of Dard welfare society take pains to cook variety of meals, pack it hygienically and deliver to attendants at hospital waiting areas. This not only saves them from risk of contracting covid at eateries if open anyways, but also saves their money that they shall spend on food when people are already low on finances due to lockdown.
We are delivering 250 meals at LD Hospital currently as per available funds and intend to scale it up to 1000 meals a day as need is high.
We request you to donate for as many meals as you feel. Each meal costs Rs. 50 only which is a very meager amount for us but big relief for those in need of it.
You can also donate for a day’s expense which is Rs. 10,000.
