Ehsaas International, hosted an Iftaar Dinner in the honour of Muslim Unity. People from different walks of the life attended iftaar and benefit dinner party at Fine Dine Restaurant Srinagar hosted by Ehsaas International. Guests discussed religious tolerance, the significance of Ramdhan and charity and the need of inter faith dialogue to overcome perceived differences and lead to mutual understanding. Renowned personalities of the valley attended the session. In the initial Syed Tabasum Geelani, Chairman of Ehsaas International made a presentation about the activities done by the trust and the projects it is currently going with. Sharing his experiences of the Iran trip, Advocate Altaf Khan emphasized on the role of Iran to bridge the gap between different sects of Islam and the importance of religious tolerance. Sarbaz Rohullah Rezvi in charge of International Union of Unified Ummah shared his experiences about visiting and helping out Rohingya refugees there in refugee camps of Bangladesh. He highlighted the joint and collective efforts of people from both communities who came forward and donated for Rohangya Muslims Refugees. The session was presided over by Justice Hakim Imtiyaz Hussain who highly appreciated the activities carried out by Ehsaas International. Hakim Imtiyaz Hussain said that it is a praiseworthy job to work together for the cause of humanity especially in the times when communal harmony and brotherhood is constantly being attacked by hate mongers. “When flood hit Kashmir Valley in 2014 the youths here set an example by risking their lives to save people no matter what belief or faith they belonged to” he added. Later session was concluded with the prayers by Movlana Gulam Hussain Matto sahab.
